1. What life experience made you become a Photographer?

I am an artist and I love to draw. I started with a pencil and then moved to the black inked ball point pen however, it took me weeks to create one piece of art so I looked for other ways to express myself and decided to try photography. At the beginning of the 2000's when the first affordable digital cameras started to emerge I purchased my first point and shoot camera. After learning and playing with it for several years I realised that I need something more advanced, and then I purchased my first DSLR camera in 2005. Since then I continued to learn photography and digital image processing, as well as upgrading my gear.

2. What makes your service unique?

I believe that experience is the most important part in family photography since great experience connects us to the photos and then makes them more and more valuable with the years as we will get back to us every time we see the photos.

Great experience starts with a clear understanding of what my clients (my families) want, and since most of the time people can't tell it straight away I do a short exercise that helps them to understand their values and helps me to understand what they want to see on the photos.

I convey the photo session as a guest at their family experience and tend to not overpose the family members.

Great experience ends with receiving the professionally edited photos shortly after the photographic experience. I process my images by myself and committed to deliver them in the private web gallery within three working days.

3. How did you get started and build a client base?

Over the years I photographed my family and all of my friends. Lot's of other families asked me to photograph them since they loved my work and my style however I was very limited to photograph since I was working full time and barely had free time for that. Last year I finally decided to start up my photography business and continue to build my clients base through word of mouth, social media and Google my business.

4. Describe your style.

My approach is to document the uniqueness of the relationship and connection in a natural and unforced way. The session usually involves a lot of playing and hugging. I provide a mixture of the classic portraits where everyone is looking into the camera and photos with a lot of wonderful candid and genuine moments. In addition, my goal during the session is to ensure families feel as comfortable and relaxed as humanly possible.

5. Do you offer posed newborn sessions? Do you bring props along?

I can pose your baby as long as is safe and if you ask me to. I prefer to use props from your home that have connection to the baby such as a blanket (that may be passed through generations), a toy (that your baby will play in the future), etc.

6. When is the best time to have a newborn session?

Usually at around 10am since babies tend to be more settled in the morning however, it depends on your baby.

7. What should I wear to the shoot?

Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I do not recommend matching but rather coordinating. Remember, you want to have colours that won’t distract from the family, but also not blend in to make everyone the same. Coordinating colours in your family pictures is important. Overwhelming patterns can take focus away from the smiling faces of the family members.

8. Do you have props and accessories or do I have to provide them?

I believe that your baby is perfect the way he/she is and hence my focus is on your baby, you and your family. If you have any props or something that you want to get photographed with I will happily do that.

9. What are your packages and its inclusive?

My packages are very simple and all included. You will get all of your images within three business days from your session, professionally edited and in high resolution that you can download and share. You could also order professional prints directly from your private gallery.

10. What happens if kids don’t behave on the day?

I always touch base a day before the session to check if everyone is healthy. If not, I offer to reschedule. If something goes completely wrong during the session I will also offer to reschedule. My goal is to create the experience that you will remember and treasure every time you see the photos.

11. Tell us about your studio.

I photograph at my client's home or on location and have portable studio equipment if required.

12. What camera do you use?

I use the latest mirrorless full-frame cameras from Canon. My main body is EOS R5 and backup EOS R.

13. What is your favourite lens?

I use different lenses basing on the scene requirements and lighting conditions

14. Can I book a session if my newborn has already arrived? What if they are older than the recommended days?

If you want your baby posed then it must be taken 1-3 weeks after the birth simply because the bubs are more sleepy at the first weeks and it is easier to pose them. I'm not limiting my families to posed photos hence you can schedule the session anytime as long as your baby is healthy and happy. You will get amazing photos!

15. Tell us about a photoshoot that you’ll never forget.

I don't have one, simply because all of them are unforgettable. All families are different and all babies are different, but I love the experience since after the session it always feels like I met new friends.

16. How long before I get my photos?

Great experience ends with receiving the professionally edited photos shortly after your session. I process my images by myself and committed to deliver them in the private web gallery within three working days.

17. What’s the best way to get in touch?

Whichever way works best for you, I closely monitor them all.

18. How far ahead do I need to book?

If I am free, I can get to photograph you from today tomorrow however, there is a risk that I will be fully booked on that specific day. It depends on the season, and weekends usually have more demand. For newborn photo sessions I usually accept tentative booking based on the expected due date and set aside time each week.

19. Anything you’d like to share with us.

Based on my knowledge and gear, I can guarantee that you will get amazing photos whenever your baby is photographed and whichever location you choose!
