It seemed to go well and we'd heard such lovely things, but it's been over 2.5 months and after paying almost $500 to see the developmental paediatrician we STILL have no report. They just wanted the money it seems. Terrible outcome.

I really like the warm homely feel of the clinic. The staff I’ve dealt with, in particular Taylor & Ray have been both friendly & professional, and more than happy to answer any questions I’ve had. My daughter needed 2 teeth removed and she was very scared and nervous so we were referred to Dr Karen by our dentist. The staff were very friendly and the hospital procedure went really well. Everyone was very helpful and we were given lots of information before everything. My daughter recovered really well and wanted to thank everyone who helped her as this was the best outcome for her.
There was one lady at reception who was a bit short with us but feel she could have been in a rush but overall everything went smoothly.

Everyone we have come across at the clinic have been extremely professional and friendly - from the receptionist (both on the phone and when we arrived), to the paediatrician and the psychologist. We suspected our son had ADHD at the time and this a one-stop-shop for parents who wants to have everyone done in the one visit. We saw the paediatrician, psychologist and our son went through brain wave test and ability tests in the same morning. It is pricey but if you did everything separately, it may end up costing the same if not more, not to mention the time spent to going back and forth on multiple visits. Our paediatrician is Dr Natasha Fernandez and we would highly recommend her. She was empathetic, tremendously knowledgable, attentive and patient. We live quite far from CBD and would have liked to see another paediatrician but Dr Fernandez is by the best we have seen so we keep going back. (I was skeptical at first given she looks so young!)

I want to say a huge thank you to Prof David Little for everything he did for me while I was his patient in the Paediatric Orthopaedic clinic in The Children's Hospital at Westmead during 1995-2009 till I transferred to adult care under Dr Geoffrey Workman at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle , Dr Little looked after me for concervitive management of a Coxa Valga Deformaty in both hips though my left hip is worse on X-ray he always so helpful and caring professional towards me, unfortunately he did have to admit me through the children's Hospital Emergency Department due to a outbreak of MRSA infection which I have colonised with since 2006 and I have since had a septic arthritis in my right knee in December 2008 requiring a aspiration and Arthroscopic washout in surgery and then I had another septic arthritis in my left side sacroiliac joint behind the left hip sadly I almost died from and I have kept my former doctor's at Westmead up to date overtime as much as I possibly could, ,, Dr Little was never the type of Surgeon who just wanted to go in and cut me open he always took my life long rare genetic life threatening skin condition into consideration, I look forward to visiting Dr Little when I come back down very soon , Thank you so much for your care and treatment and compassion over the years I was under your care .🤗 Aimee Stromeier ( Newcastle )

Who we are (mission and values)
Marsden Clinical Psychology aim to provide expert clinical treatment to those suffering from psychological difficulties. This is achieved by promoting emotional wellbeing and recovery from mental illness through individually tailored and goal-directed psychological therapy.
What happens in therapy
Therapy can vary depending on the needs of the individual or family. It will most likely begin with an assessment to gather
a full inventory of the difficulties and to discuss what you hope to achieve in therapy. Following this, the psychologist will develop a treatment plan that will incorporate your goals and needs. Therapy sessions will be scheduled into the diary, and will typically last 50-60 minutes. Treatment is dependent on what you need to help you overcome your difficulties and may include learning about psychological health and wellbeing, learning new ways of thinking, and working together to promote helpful actions in life.
Medicare & Insurance
If a person is suffering psychological difficulties they may be eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This is managed by your GP and will deem you eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 10 individual psychological therapy sessions as well as 10 group psychological therapy sessions per calendar year. The Medicare rebate for seeing a clinical psychologist is $124.5. The Medicare rebate for seeing a generally registered psychologist is $84.80. Please ask you doctor/GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan and if eligible they will provide you with a referral to see a psychologist. Note that you will have to book a long appointment with your GP in order for them to have time to complete the Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Private health insurance may cover psychological therapy as well. Each insurer and level of cover differs in the amount rebated so please discuss this with your private health insurer.
